I'm a consultant psychiatrist in Brighton and I've had an interest in the potential therapeutic effect of psychedelic substances for over 20 years. I have a neuroscience MSc, an interest in Jungian psychoanalysis and a passion for trying to understand consciousness. In 2018, I trained with the Imperial Psychedelic Research Group and will support the next Psilodep study as a guide and Honorary Clinical Research Fellow.
I believe in the value of psychedelic integration for personal growth and harm minimisation. I will be co-facilitating an integration group in London at The Psychedelic Society along similar principles to the group set up by Rosalind Watts and Michelle Baker-Jones from Imperial. I am also helping to start Brighton & Hove's first integration group with wonderfully supportive and compassionate colleagues. My other main passion in life is music - listening and creating - don't get me started on synthesisers!
I'm a member of the Psychedelic Society of Brighton, co-chair the Medicine-Assisted Psychotherapy Special Interest Group (MAPSiG) in my Mental Health Trust so how could I not join the The Psychedelic Society?
