***** "What an exhilarating experience, felt so alive to be dancing so wild and free with my sisters! "
Journey through five goddess archetypes, invoking their qualities, learning their myths and stories, and bringing their wisdom into our bodies through movement and voice.
What is Dance of the Goddess?
This dance is based on Jean Shinoda Bolen’s book ‘Goddesses in Everywoman’, a classic work of female psychology that uses archetypal Greek goddesses as a way of describing behaviour patterns and personality traits. We combine this powerful text with the classic 5 Rhythms structure, lifting it's wisdom out of the pages and onto the dance floor.
Each goddess contains a particular energy or theme which is reflected in the music, taking you on journey through the huntress, the warrior, the wrathful queen, the lover, and the priestess.
This dance has been developed to help women access different energies and emotions, to deepen our understanding of self, and heal the body and mind through movement and creative expression.
This is a sacred and playful space for women to explore, express and release. Together we create a safe environment to be free, wild, soft, angry, vulnerable and powerful.
***** "Super liberating experience. No judgement, just pure movement and expression in a safe creative space. Excellent music choices, as usual"
The 5 Greek Goddesses:
Artemis - Goddess of the moon and the hunt. Protector of women.
Athena - Goddess of war, strategy. The Warrior.
Hera - Queen of heaven and earth. Rage.
Aphrodite - Goddess of beauty, sensuality, creativity, playfulness and self love.
Hestia - Goddess of the hearth. Connection with the divine, sacred priestess.
***** "Gaia magically weaved 5 rhythms dance techniques with powerful Greek goddess archetypes resulting in an empowering, healing and beautiful dance experience. Ending with a women's circle was very grounding, nourishing and connecting. Thanks for creating a safe, nurturing space that enabled a group of random women to come together on a Friday night in London to release, share, explore, grow and most importantly - to be held."
Please arrive on time. Latecomers will not be admitted.

"Bringing her wisdom, kindness and love, Gaia creates a delicious little crucible which we can all enter into and hang out in, with our truths, our vulnerabilities, our troubles and our joys... together. The result is different every time. The result is quite simply alchemy."

"Dani was very receptive to the groups needs. The workshop was fast paced, which kept it dynamic and allowed us to stay in the playful uninhibited state, away from the rational brain."
"Dani's facilitating was magical. I felt like I was softly guided into the world of play without even realising that she was taking me there, and then she held me there so gently and unobtrusively that a whole world could develop around me that was beautifully expansive, but also completely safe!"
