The Psychedelic Society is pleased to host a dialogue between two of the leading mischief-makers in the psychedelic community: David Luke (co-founder and director of Breaking Convention) & Stephen Reid (founder and co-director of the Psychedelic Society).
Expect a freewheeling conversation delving into topics featured in David's recent books (Psychedelic Mysteries of the Feminine, DMT Dialogues and Otherworlds: Psychedelics and Exceptional Human Experience) and Stephen's latest podcasts (Mystical Anarchism and Psychedelics, Extinction & Social Change).
Dr David Luke is Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Greenwich. His research focuses on transpersonal experiences, anomalous phenomena and altered states of consciousness, especially via psychedelics, having published more than 100 academic papers in this area, including ten books, most recently Psychedelic Mysteries of the Feminine (2019). When he is not running clinical drug trials with LSD, doing DMT field experiments or observing apparent weather control with Mexican shamans he directs the Ecology, Cosmos and Consciousness salon and is a cofounder and director of Breaking Convention: International Conference on Psychedelic Consciousness.
Stephen Reid is a social entrepreneur, activist and public speaker. He is currently a co-director of the Psychedelic Society, which he founded in 2014 and has become one of the global leading providers of legal psychedelic retreats. Since late 2018, Stephen has also been contributing to Extinction Rebellion. Previously, he was the youngest ever board member of Greenpeace UK, co-founded the New Economics Foundation's New Economy Organisers Network and worked as a technology consultant for organisations including the Labour Party, the Green Party and 350.org. Stephen has an MPhys in Physics from the University of Oxford, where he specialised in quantum field theory, and an MRes in Complexity Sciences from the University of Bristol.
