This is a call to all women who feel the wildness rattling in their bones. If you hear our call we welcome you to this empowering day event to connect to your wild woman through sharing circles, play, meditation, voice work, dance and embodied ritual.
If you are yearning for something deeper, something untameable, and complete freedom to express your innate being, then this day event is for you.
Come with us on a ritualistic journey to connect with the first woman, the primal wild woman who lives in us all; the one who is feral and wide-eyed, who listens to the wisdom in her blood, who fiercely protects the sacred and follows her intuition’s guiding compass.
We call upon the abundant creativity living at the core of the savage wild woman self. Art, in all its forms, is the food and language of the soul. Embracing our creative life force is fundamental to our health and flourishing.
What to Expect
In this day-long workshop, you’ll be unlocking and harnessing the healing power of creativity to explore your Wild Self.
As you learn to unblock your creative channel, you will come into deep contact with your true essence. When this true essence as able to be expressed through intuitive voice and movement, you will begin to shake free the shackles of conditioning and feel your whole being open and release.
Together we'll create a powerful sisterhood where we each feel supported to unlock and let go; A place to feel fully seen and accepted in all that we are.
When we are finally able to express ourselves without fear or shame, we step into our power, and this is what sets our wild woman free.
This day long workshop will include:
- Sharing circles - to build deep intimacy and a safe container
- Vocal warm ups and unblocking - Freeing the voice to be able to clearly express
- Movement meditation - Learning to connect with the sensations and desires of the body, moving for our own pleasure, listening deeply to the wisdom of the body, and unblocking stuck energy
- Play - Weaving together theatre games and tantric techniques to help us connect to our child-like playfulness, breaking down barriers and connecting deeply with each other
- Embodied Ritual - We’ll guide you through a visualisation meditation, to connect with your ancestors, helping to release their pain and shame, connecting to the first wild woman, and bringing back her wisdom.
We are living in a world in which the Wild Woman has been silenced & suppressed for thousands of years. The undomesticated female instinct has been suffocated and squeezed into dis-empowering ideas of femininity. Women have been burned alive for holding the powerful knowledge of medicinal plants, have been denied the right to connect with our natural cycles, and shamed for our sexuality and intuitive cyclical nature.
Women have been slowly rising up in the last 50 years. There have been many transformations within our society, but there is still much for us to break through and undo. We must continue to disrupt the systems in place, and fight with our teeth bared to free the Wild Woman in all of us, so she may guide us to a place of embodied truth.
As part of this work, we must become a time travelling tribe of women, reaching back to hear the voices of our grandmothers; to grieve their losses, to rage their injustices and to celebrate their triumphs.
Expect lots of dance, singing, laughter, tears, painting, drumming, releasing and playing.
** A healthy vegan lunch will be included**
"A very powerful and memorable day. Alana and Gaia are very skilled and gifted at bringing a group together in an intimate and authentic way. They created an incredibly safe space for boundaries to be dropped and support and trust to be created very quickly within the group - a true gift. The genuine support and care was palpable through out the day. I came away feeling enriched, nurtured and empowered. I am still bathing in the beautiful energy from a deeply moving and transformative day. Thank you."
