Psychedelic Women's Circle: Food, Desire and the Body

Please arrive between 6:45 and 7pm. Late comers will not be admitted. This is to ensure the integrity of the circle and the safe space we create

This circle will be a sensory and embodied journey into our relationship with food, our bodies, nourishment and desire. This will not be a space where you will be encouraged to fix, heal or change who and how you are. Instead, we will focus on simply experiencing ourselves with loving awareness.

Through dance, we will explore our relationship to nourishment. How do we connect with our own inner source of nourishment? How do we receive nourishment from the outside? How can we be nourished by the moment, by our own presence?

Moving with different parts of ourselves, we will allow our body-technology to work through us, as we slow down and listen to the emotions, patterns and stories that emerge. We will look at how our appetite and hunger for food also relate to our desire for pleasure, sensuality, connection.

‘The body was made for pleasure’ – Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

As we dance towards a relationship of love and listening for our bodies, we will also celebrate our bodies’ innate capacity for freedom, wilderness, aliveness, wisdom and creativity.

This circle will include:
- Deep somatic listening to connect with the wisdom of our bodies and organs
- Dance as a process self-enquiry
- An embodied eating celebration

About Psychedelic Women's Circle

Psychedelic Women's Circle was founded in 2017 by Gaia Harvey Jackson, facilitator, artist and ceremonialist. It is a space for femme flavoured or identifying people interested in personal and collective transformation. A community of like minded souls coming together to support and celebrate existence.

Psychedelics can help us to open our minds, heal and grow through the re-patterning of our behaviours. The aim of the Women's Circle is to create a space with similar opportunities for opening, healing and growth, without the use of psychedelic substances.

We do this through embodied practices such as meditation, voice work , dance and movement, emotional release, play, tantric techniques and ritual which can transport us into altered states of consciousness where transformation can occur.
