The sweet essence of inspiration ‘primum ens melissae’ ~ honeyed breath of life.
"A ritual is the enactment of a myth. And, by participating in the ritual, you are participating in the myth. And since myth is a projection of the depth wisdom of the psyche, by participating in a ritual, participating in the myth, you are being, as it were, put in accord with that wisdom, which is the wisdom that is inherent within you anyhow. Your consciousness is being re-minded of the wisdom of your own life." - Joseph Campbell
This workshop will be an alchemical form of exploration. Using the facets of our own bodies, we will drop into ritual and play together to enter into the realm of conciousness of the womb, our own cavern of creation. Excavating hidden treasure, bringing luminosity whilst embracing the dark.
A deep dive into the honeyed wisdoms of an ancient lineage of European womb shamans, as a hive we can come to remember our true essence. To witness, and to be witnessed as both the flower and flow-er.
With spirit allies of the serpent and bee, we will use tools of shamanic practices, sound, breath, meditation, movement and womb yoga. Unearthing our sensual selves, reclaiming our sexual sovereignty.
This is an opportunity for those who feel called, to discover what it means to dance between the worlds. A communion between body, soul and spirit - to express what is at times too hidden for words or language. Through this process we will travel through the realms of the elemental, environmental, personal and collective mythologies. Which we weave together, to create a rich tapestry of experience.
What you can expect:
- Shamanic Journeying
- Movement Meditation
- Womb Yoga
What is shamanism?
Shamanism is the most ancient healing modality known to us, moreover - it is a way of life. Being cross cultural, it was practiced by all people before it became obscured by the rise of patriarchy and state religion. It deals with the ecological, psychological and spiritual crisis of humanity, and allows participants direct spiritual experience, recognizing that there is an other reality which can be worked with for the benefit of all beings. The word shaman originates from the Tungus tribe in Siberia. Anthropologists coined this term and have used it to refer to the spiritual and ceremonial leaders among indigenous cultures worldwide. The word shamanism can be used to describe the ancient spiritual practices of these indigenous cultures.
If you have any enquiries about the work, then please free to contact Bryony via her email. She invites inquisitive and curious souls, to step through the gateway, to enter this threshold location. You don't need any prior experience of shamanic practices or yoga to participate, simply come with an open heart and open mind.
"Drum journeying, plant remedies, dream visioning and dragon dreaming...I was able to connect more with my womb, see past things that may have affected that I didn't realise, it's really powerful. the dragon dreaming - is really cosmic! I can't really explain it! Different from other womb work I've been to, not just talking about feelings but really taking you on a journey." ~ Jade Ward, Singer/Songwriter & Artist
ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR
Bryony is an initiate of a hidden, yet very much alive, ancient lineage of womb shamans and priestesses. Who's origins stem from the British Isles, Eastern Europe, and the temples of old in Greece and Crete.
Having been a student and teacher of yoga for many years, specialising in Womb Yoga and Yoga Nidra, Bryony stumbled across this living pathway by a series of synchronicities and serendipitous events. This rich tradition leads the walkers of it's ways into a more empowered, and enriched life. Equipping them with the tools to stand both firmly planted in the Earth, whilst exploring their inner sensual and stellar selves. Skilled in bridging worlds and turning the mundane to magick, she invites those willing to dive deep, to come to the betwixt and between, to discover the sweetness that it holds.
The fusion of Bryony's training in both yoga and shamanic practice allows her to navigate the architecture of holding sacred space - through ceremony, classes, workshops, retreats and one on one sessions, she offers alternative and nourishing methods for students and clients alike to discover their own medicine through movement, magic, and mystery school teachings.
Hers is an ongoing inquiry - committed to the path of learning and discovery, she continues to develop her work through shamanic and yoga trainings and a dedicated daily practice.
"I highly recommend Bryony : she is honest, sensitive, intelligent, caring & reliable with full integrity. I have spend time with her in work related retreats & find her always composed, compassionate & easy to communicate with. She’s a joy to work with" - Analucia Feracci, Sound Therapy practitioner
"Weaving poetry with divine mystery...Gently holding and intuitvely creating the space for deep awakening and inner journeying... Bryony is the perfect conduit between this realm and the other worlds." ~ Rafaele Bates, Artist & Musician
"Having trained with Bryony in the first stage of the Sacred Trust's Path of Pollen - The Way of the Melissae, I can tell you that she is a fearless practitioner with a lot of heart for healing. Bry has a deep resonance with the wilderness, a rhythm in step with the pulse of nature and an ever expanding knowledge of herbalism, women's shamanic tradition and dreamwork." Bea, Artist & Performance Artist
