Akua Ofosuhene

Akua Ofosuhene is a speaker, radio host, filmmaker, and psychedelic designer, co-founding Hub and Culture, an African and Caribbean cooperative in Peckham. She advocates for therapeutic uses of psychedelics to address depression, illness, and racism.

Akua has directed documentaries in Europe and West Africa, including a tribute to filmmaker Ousmane Sembene for Aljazeera TV. She also directed "Keep Her," which won an award at the Images of Black Women Film Festival. Her interest in Shamanism and plant medicines began while producing a documentary on Yaa Asantewaa. Akua believes psychedelics can help dismantle white supremacy and promote healing.
