Dr. Robert Kargbo

Dr. Robert Kargbo is a chemist at Usona Institute, where he advances psychedelic medicine by optimizing psilocybin synthesis for clinical trials. He has also collaborated with the NIH on neurological therapeutics and is an editorial member of ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters.

With over 250 publications, patents, and books, he has received numerous awards, including the Pfizer Research Fellowship and McNair Scholar Award. Kargbo earned his PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from North Dakota University in 2008 and has lectured at the College of Medicine in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
