Co-operative:

We are a worker co-operative aspiring to the Teal paradigm.

Teal organisations view their company as a living entity and collectively act in service to the organisation's purpose, as well as the flourishing of its workers. Unlike most organisations, they are self-managing and self-organising; giving teams and individuals the freedom and autonomy to make decisions within their area of expertise.

Within the Psychedelic Society, our roles are generally quite fluid. We all have different skillsets and apply them to the organisation’s emerging needs, and where our individual and collective excitement is. We encourage a culture of care and wholeness, creating plenty of space to check-in as a group to ensure that we’re able to support each other when we need it.

We don’t pretend to have it all figured out, but generally, we feel that this way of working is very much in alignment with the psychedelic experience, and our mission to cultivate a culture of connection.

Culture & Mission:

We seek to create a culture of deeper connection to ourselves, each other, our living planet and the mystery of existence, rooted in the responsible use of psychedelics and the related practices and philosophies they inspire.

With appreciation for science, a reverence for nature, and a respect for wisdom traditions, we create spaces for learning, healing, deep connection, and bold enquiry, in order to support the flourishing of a more beautiful world.

Hours, Pay & Co-op Membership:

We imagine this to be a part-time role, initially requiring around two days a week of focused work, including meetings. But the successful candidate will be encouraged to make the role their own and provide feedback to us on what resources they feel are needed to do the best job.

Every quarter the organisation uses a participatory budgeting process to allocate funds to various projects and roles. Funds have been allocated to this role at the advertised rate for an initial period of 3 months, at which point there will be a review with the intention to continue funding this role long-term.

As a worker co-op, it is the organisation's policy that anyone who contributes substantially to the work of the organisation for a period of one year will be invited to become a worker-member of the co-operative.
