Marc B. Aixalà
Marc Aixalà is a Telecommunication Engineer, Licensed Health Psychologist, and Psychotherapist with expertise in Integrative and Strategic Therapy. He specializes in the therapeutic use of Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness and MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD. Since 2013, he has coordinated support services at ICEERS, offering integration psychotherapy. Based in Barcelona, Marc is also a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator, Grof Transpersonal Training staff member, and researcher. He has led workshops across Europe and worked with Kosmicare at Boom Festival. He is involved in clinical trials for MDMA and psilocybin therapy and authored Psychedelic Integration: Psychotherapy for Non-Ordinary States (2022).

Bessel van der Kolk
Bessel van der Kolk is a Dutch psychiatrist, author, researcher and educator. Since the 1970s his research has been in the area of post-traumatic stress. He is the author of The New York Times best seller, The Body Keeps the Score.
Van der Kolk formerly served as president of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and is a former co-director of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. He is a professor of psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine and president of the Trauma Research Foundation in Brookline, Massachusetts.[1]
Van der Kolk has published more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles[2] and four books.[3]

Jessica Corneille
In 2016, following a sudden non-dual experience, Jessica Corneille shifted her career from arts and cultural heritage to focus on raising awareness around spiritual awakening and non-dual experiences within psychology. She earned a Master's in Psychology with Distinction from the University of Greenwich, specializing in exceptional human experiences. Now a research psychologist, she focuses on spontaneous spiritual awakenings and non-ordinary states of consciousness. Jessica has presented at academic conferences and works with the Scientific and Medical Network, the Galileo Commission, and the Spiritual Crisis Network, and is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.

Katherine MacLean, Ph.D.
Katherine MacLean, Ph.D. is a research scientist with expertise in studying the effects of mindfulness meditation and psychedelics on cognitive performance, emotional well-being, spirituality and brain function. As a postdoctoral research fellow and faculty member at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, she conducted clinical trials of psilocybin, the primary chemical found in “magic mushrooms,” and other psychedelic compounds. Her groundbreaking research on psilocybin and personality change suggests that psychedelic medicines can enhance openness to new experiences and promote mental health and emotional well-being throughout the lifespan. Dr. MacLean co-founded and directed the first center for psychedelic education and training in New York, was featured in the New Yorker article entitled “The Trip Treatment” by Michael Pollan, and her TED Talk has been viewed nearly fifty thousand times.

Tree Carr
Tree is a published author, TEDx speaker, and expert in Transpersonal Psychology, specializing in dreams, death, altered states, and psychedelic therapy. A certified Death Doula and Wiccan High Priestess, she teaches at The Magickal Path School and the College of Psychic Studies.
As a Psychedelic Therapist, she guides clients through integration sessions and supports spiritual and emotional transitions as a Death Doula. Crispin Blunt, MP
Crispin was elected MP for Reigate in 1997 having formerly served as an army officer and subsequently Special Adviser in the Ministry of Defence and Foreign Commonwealth office. In Parliament, Crispin was a Shadow Minister with briefs including trade, energy and science; security and counter-terrorism. Licia Sky

Dr Christopher Timmermann
Christopher Timmermann (PhD) obtained a BSc in Psychology in Santiago, Chile and an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Bologna in Italy. He is currently a post-doc at Imperial College London at the Centre for Psychedelic Research, where he leads the DMT Research Group, specialized in the potent psychedelics N,N-DMT and 5-MeO-DMT and their effects in the human brain and consciousness.

Sam Gandy
Sam is a PhD ecologist and independent researcher. He has varied experience of working within the psychedelic field, including as a past scientific assistant to the director of the Beckley Foundation and as a research assistant with the Synthesis Institute. His work has also involved science communication, including as a senior science writer for Wavepaths, delivering presentations in association with Seed Talks, and delivering fungi cultivation workshops in association with the Psychedelic Society.

Dr David Luke
Dr. David Luke is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Greenwich, where he has taught the Psychology of Exceptional Human Experience since 2009. He also leads the Professional Certificate in Psychedelics at the Alef Trust and has served as a lecturer at Imperial College London. His research focuses on transpersonal experiences and altered states of consciousness, especially through psychedelics, with over 100 academic papers and 13 books, including DMT Entity Encounters (2021).

Dr Rosalind Watts
Dr. Rosalind Watts is a clinical psychologist and Clinical Lead for Imperial College London's psilocybin trial, making her a leading figure in psychedelic research. Dr. Adele Lafrance
Dr. Adele Lafrance is a clinical psychologist, research scientist, and certified eating disorder specialist and supervisor. She is a leader in the research and practice of psychedelic medicine in the context of eating disorders, with a focus on ayahuasca, MDMA, and psilocybin. Currently, Dr. Lafrance is the clinical investigator and strategy lead for the MAPS-sponsored MDMA-assisted psychotherapy study for eating disorders, and a collaborator on the Imperial College study for psilocybin and anorexia nervosa. She is also co-developer of Emotion-Focused Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy for Eating Disorders. She has published extensively in the field of emotion and health, including a clinical manual and expert training video published by the American Psychological Association.

Friederike Meckel Fischer
Psychotherapist and respected author, Friederike Meckel Fischer, is nothing short of a legend within the psychedelic community, her career spanning more than 30 years and beginning as a Holistic Breathwork facilitator working in Germany.
In the late 90s, she secretly developed her own style of psychotherapy with psychedelic drugs, but a patient’s betrayal led to Meckel’s arrest in 2009 and she was sentenced to 16 months in prison for trafficking LSD. Although she no longer uses drug-induced methods in her practice today, she educates and inspires the next generation through her psychological counselling and interviews, advocating the integration of psychedelic and non-drug-induced therapy styles for effective healing.

Seed Sistas
The Seed Sistas, Karen Lawton and Fiona Heckels are herbalists, eco-activists, published authors and have a down-to-earth attitude towards plant magic. After completing BScs in Medical Herbalism and Health Sciences, they developed Sensory Herbalism which is an emergent tradition rooted in chaos, both ancient and evolving. They cultivate change through their work with social enterprise Sensory Solutions Herbal Evolution, giving talks, writing and developing community medicine gardens. They explore the cross over of magic and medicine, and the reintroduction of magical practices into clinical herbalism.

Dr Bia Labate
Dr. Beatriz Caiuby Labate (Bia Labate) is a queer Brazilian anthropologist based in San Francisco. She has a Ph.D. in social anthropology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. Her main areas of interest are the study of plant medicines, drug policy, shamanism, ritual, and religion. She is Executive Director of the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines (http://chacruna.net), as well as being Public Education and Culture Specialist at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and Adjunct Faculty at the East-West Psychology Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Bia co-founded the Interdisciplinary Group for Psychoactive Studies (NEIP) in Brazil, and is author, co-author, and co-editor of twenty-one books, two special-edition journals, and several peer-reviewed articles.

Pascal Michael
Dr. Pascal Michael is a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Greenwich, specializing in psychedelics, psychical research, neuroscience, and clinical psychology. He holds a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from UCL, focusing on DMT. His PhD research explored mystical experiences, particularly comparing DMT with near-death experiences.
Pascal has presented at major conferences, published in Frontiers in Psychology, and co-leads the ALEF Trust’s Psychedelics certificate program. He also received the Parapsychology Association’s Schmeidler Outstanding Student Award in 2020. Outside academia, he enjoys writing, acting, and drumming.

Sandra is an Ethicist and Psychedelic Ethics specialist with a MA, Phd in Philosophy exploring Ethical Decision Making and Moral Psychology. She is an Ethics Advisor active in Psychedelic Integration, Therapy, Education and Advocacy as well as a Psychedelic facilitator, Co-founder of EPIC (Ethical Psychedelic International Community) and DecrimFirst collaborative communities as well as leader of the Santa Cruz Psychedelic Society. Sandra has been teaching Bioethics at University of California, Santa Cruz for the Biomolecular Engineering and Philosophy Departments for past ten years, worked for many years in the tech industry primarily at Apple, and is a Reiki Master in multiple lineages. Sandra focuses on listening and uplifting the voices and values of the Psychedelic Community especially the disenfranchised with the heart space intention of compassion and love.

David E Nichols
David E. Nichols, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Purdue University. He also serves as Director of Molecular Pharmacology at Eleusis Therapeutics. Nichols has been studying psychedelics since 1969 and played a key role in synthesizing compounds like DMT, MDMA, and psilocybin for groundbreaking clinical research.
In 1993, he founded the Heffter Research Institute, which funded pivotal studies on psilocybin for depression, alcohol use disorder, and tobacco addiction. Nichols has received numerous honors, including the Purdue Provost’s Outstanding Graduate Mentor award.

Dr Chloe Sakal
Dr Chloe Sakal is a consultant psychiatrist currently working for the NHS. She is passionate about removing stigma associated with mental illness, and finding new and innovative ways to support patients. She was a study doctor for the UK's first MDMA-assisted psychotherapy trial looking at the safety and tolerability of its use in the treatment of alcoholism. She also directed Project Twenty21, a real-world data registry on medical cannabis health outcomes for patients in the UK.

Dr Robert Karbgo
Dr. Robert Kargbo is a chemist at Usona Institute, where he advances psychedelic medicine by optimizing psilocybin synthesis for clinical trials. He has also collaborated with the NIH on neurological therapeutics and is an editorial member of ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters.
With over 250 publications, patents, and books, he has received numerous awards, including the Pfizer Research Fellowship and McNair Scholar Award. Kargbo earned his PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from North Dakota University in 2008 and has lectured at the College of Medicine in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Bernardo Kastrup
Bernardo Kastrup's work has been leading the modern renaissance of the philosophical position, ‘metaphysical idealism’ that reality is essentially mental, an appearance in ‘mind.’ Bernardo has a Ph.D. in philosophy (ontology, philosophy of mind) and another Ph.D. in computer engineering (reconfigurable computing, artificial intelligence). As a scientist, Bernardo has worked for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Philips Research Laboratories (where the 'Casimir Effect' of Quantum Field Theory was discovered). Formulated in detail in many academic papers and books, his ideas have been featured on Scientific American, the Institute of Art and Ideas, the Blog of the American Philosophical Association and Big Think, among others. Akua Ofosuhene
Akua Ofosuhene is a speaker, radio host, filmmaker, and psychedelic designer, co-founding Hub and Culture, an African and Caribbean cooperative in Peckham. She advocates for therapeutic uses of psychedelics to address depression, illness, and racism.
Akua has directed documentaries in Europe and West Africa, including a tribute to filmmaker Ousmane Sembene for Aljazeera TV. She also directed "Keep Her," which won an award at the Images of Black Women Film Festival. Her interest in Shamanism and plant medicines began while producing a documentary on Yaa Asantewaa. Akua believes psychedelics can help dismantle white supremacy and promote healing.

Veronika Gold
Veronika Gold, a psychologist from the Czech Republic and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She co-founded Polaris Insight Center in San Francisco, offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Veronika is also a sub-investigator and co-therapist for Phase 3 MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy trials for PTSD and a supervisor-in-training for Phase 2 European MDMA trials. Additionally, she is an EMDR therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and provides Psychedelic Integration Therapy, serving as a consultant and trainer in psychedelic therapies.

Adam Strauss
Adam Strauss is a writer and comedian based in New York. When not in lockdown or mid-pandemic, he performs nightly at many of New York City’s best comedy clubs (and most of its worst ones). His monologue The Mushroom Cure is the true story of how he treated his debilitating obsessive-compulsive disorder with psychedelics. Adam won the New York Fringe Festival’s Overall Excellence Award, The Eddy Award for Best Solo Show in San Francisco, and the Leffe Beer Craft Your Character Storytelling Competition.
In addition to the show, Adam speaks about OCD and psychedelics in articles, on podcasts and at conferences in a bid to educate people, spread knowledge and awareness, and ultimately help those who may be on a similar quest for freedom from OCD.

Natalie Ginsberg
Natalie Lyla Ginsberg received her BA in history from Yale and her Master's of Social Work (MSW) from Columbia. Before joining MAPS in 2014, Natalie worked as a Policy Fellow at the Drug Policy Alliance, where she helped legalise medical cannabis in her home state of New York. She worked to end New York's race-based marijuana arrests. Natalie has also worked as a therapist at an alternative-sentencing court for prostitution and drug-related offences, and as a middle school guidance counsellor.
At MAPS, Natalie works to disentangle science from political partisanship on Capitol Hill, at the United Nations, and beyond. She is also co-developing a psychedelic peace-building study with Imperial College, working with Palestinians and Israelis.

Prof. David Nutt
Since 2009, Prof. Nutt has led a brain imaging research team at Imperial College London, focusing on PET imaging. He previously worked at the National Institutes of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism in the USA and founded the Psychopharmacology Unit at Bristol University. Currently, he is the Edmond J. Safra Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology and Director of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit.
Prof. Nutt has published over 400 research papers and 27 books, and has edited the Journal of Psychopharmacology for over 20 years. He also serves as a psychiatry drugs advisor to the British National Formulary and frequently appears on radio and TV to discuss science.

Dr Raquel Bennett
Raquel Bennett, Psy.D. is a psychologist and ketamine specialist from Berkeley, California. She works primarily with people living with severe depression, bipolar disorder and/or suicidal ideation. Dr Bennett is fascinated by the antidepressant and anti-suicidal properties of ketamine, and has been studying them since 2002. She also has a long-standing interest in the psychedelic and mystical properties of ketamine, and the potential for this medicine to be used for spiritual exploration. Dr Bennett is the founder of KRIYA Institute and KRIYA Conference, which are both devoted to the use of ketamine in psychiatry and psychotherapy.
